Pollsters may predict what the 2020 Election results will be, but we have no idea here at MN1, we are more interested in what assets (stocks, tokens) are likely to move in anticipation of the 2020 Election results. These assets should tell you who will get elected and why, and often it makes little difference who is in office when these trends start to move.

Cannabis, Digital Currency, and AI are some of the most watched market segments as we head into the election next election year. Cannabis and Digital Currency are recognizable sectors with lots of new investment, price movement and volatility allowing establishment of positions to carry through 2021. Here is why these sectors are hot, followed and moving as we countdown to the Presidential Election in 2020.

Cannabis is undergoing massive change and has a federal mandate for legalization in the offing, every politician has a campaign stance on Marijuana as more states add recreational sales to medical marijuana sales. But the real growth happens in the medical cannabis sector as research of this magic plant continues. It is important to note, that Marijuana stocks were down 20% at the time of writing, off the highs set during the 2016 election cycle. Many think the sector could return to these highs over the next year as a repeat with more data backing its ascendance.

Digital Currency is also reaching mass adoption as Bitcoin and other Alt-Coins have real-life adoption scenarios. Funding continues in these areas with anticipation of increase in Bitcoin ATMs and FaceBook tokenizations like Libra on the horizon. However, these are heated issues as every politician running for office has a campaign position on digital currency. Bitcoin is up 140% to date and has been the leading performer for the last 3 years. This trend appears to continue, driven specifically the use of tokens as payments such as Etherium, Bitcoin and others.

Many of the sectors covered are filled with companies anticipating revenue coming sometime in the next 12 months. Any revenue added to companies in high growth multiple sectors has a much better chance of price/value appreciation than many of the worn-out tech sectors, health care or manufacturing.
