CBC CHANNEL EGYPT - IDENT COMPILATION

The design of Egyptian private entertainment channel CBC (Capitol Broadcasting Center) specialized mainly in entertainment, drama and political talk shows, just got polished up and dusted off in a re-brand by velvet’s design department.

Original purple color, driven from the channel’s CI, was taken beyond the static, enriching the design with more energy & dynamics. Born from the brands mission statement “We go further”, this energy flow had to break free from the stand-still and spread out as light, giving birth to a life circle.

The logo becomes transparent silhouette in the shape of the cut-out circles, containing the sparks of the whole prismatic spectrum: the energy of Egyptian nation.

Idents transport this idea even further, using the theme-defined colors for the more valuable and pleasurable viewer experience. The Egyptians are artistically highly visual human beings and they give us the source for all the emotions, expressed in their way of body-language, motion captured and evolved to a dynamic visual package.

The colors bounce and dance, sway and swirl, depending on what theme they represent. Energy lines, sparked by a 3D motion sculpture, discharge with their vibrant movements transporting a message:

Energy is EVERYTHING else, but a standstill!
