Second ride on my new Fezzari La Sal Peak 2.0 . I ride the same trail here in So. CALIF. So it’s a good comparison to how this bike rides compared to my previous bike which was the Fezzari La Sal Peak 1. Two rides now consisting on a 3.7 mile climb with 1,600 feet of elevation gain and then the single track “Troy Lee Trail” back down. Today I put in a good effort on the climb up and it’s right on pace with the La Sal Peak 1.0, which was nice because this bike is about 3 pounds heavier than the La Sal peak 1.0, but it’s a good climber, I feel I’m in a good position for climbing without any problems of traction when it gets steep and loose. When it comes to descending, this bike really outshines the 1.0 La Sal Peak, but it’s not really fair because I have the fox suspension on this one and on my La Sal Peak 1.0 I had the Rockshox suspension, but since I ride this trail over and over again I can definitely feel how much smoother this fox suspension is, I’m loving this bike though, it feels so stable and planted, there is one drop on this trail and it takes it very well, I’m looking forward to working with the adjustments on the suspension to get it dialed in exactly how I would like it for the trails that I ride, but so far Fezzari did a awesome job on this design and I love it.
