Overview

"Striim is a comprehensive streaming ETL platform that enables online data migrations and continuous streaming replication from on-premises and cloud data sources to Google Cloud data services through a graphical drag-and-drop interface. It allows you to do online database migrations and it handles the transferring and synchronization of databases."

In this lab, you learn how to perform the following tasks:

Access and use an existing SQL Server database running on a Compute Engine virtual machine.
Access and use an existing Spanner database.
Deploy Striim through the Google Cloud Marketplace.
Use Striim to read from a source SQL Server database.
Use Striim to continuously replicate from SQL Server to Spanner.Configure VPC network peering between projects.
