Follow these steps to learn how to check your car engine oil:

01:02 - Step 1: Prepare your vehicle for an oil check.
Make sure your car is on a level surface so you´ll get an accurate reading. Pop the hood and locate your engine oil dipstick.

01:25 - Step 2: Clean the dipstick.
Slowly pull the dipstick out and immediately wipe it off using a rag.

03:13 - Step 3: Check the quality and the level of the engine oil.
Put the dipstick back in, let it sit for about four seconds so the oil can saturate it, and then slowly pull it out.

03:38 - Step 4: Top-up the engine oil.
If the oil level is low, remove the oil filler cap, place the funnel, place the funnel in and hold it while you pour the oil slowly.
