A stunt sword fight had real consequences for Matt Smith while filming House of the Dragon, says Smith's co-star Fabien Frankel. The Game of Thrones prequel series starring Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Fabien Frankel, Emma D'Arcy, Steve Toussaint, and many other formidable talents will premiere August 21st on HBO Max. Based on George R.R. Martin's novel Fire & Blood, which chronicles the rise and inevitable self-inflicted fall of the powerful Targaryen dynasty. In the series, Smith will portray the haughty and unstable Prince Daemon Targaryen, while Frankel will star opposite him as a knight from the Dornish Marshes, Ser Criston Cole.
