Netflix’s Damsel (2024) is a generic, unoriginal, boring, uninspired faux-girlboss fantasy adventure that released 30 years too late to have anything meaningful to say. It’s also a great example of everything that can go wrong when writing a script, and demonstrates exactly the kind of things to avoid when crafting a story.
