Shooting Stuff Delta Stage 2 6 23 24 HD 1080p

Stage 2 is where we usually spread out and have some running to do. Since it was supposed to be really hot, and we had a low turnout today, we came up with something a little different. Using both plate racks meant that the tractor did most of the heavy lifting for us for set up and take down. The simple and fast nature of the course meant that squads would keep rolling and hopefully finish up before it got really really hot.
To spice it up a little, we made the shooters engage the silhouette target first, then it was their choice on the order of the plate racks. We even gave the option of two stop plates: one nice big on on the left side (which is the "wrong side" for most shooters who like to go from left to right) and a smaller one set back to the right. Either one stops the clock.

Rimfire guns (like the Sig P322 I'm shooting) have to hit the plates but do not have to knock them down. The anonymous ;) shooter after me was using centerfire, so he did have to knock them down.

On a personal note, I was shooting one handed because I'm still recovering from surgery on my left arm/shoulder and just haven't regained enough mobility to use my support hand for support. This was my first time shooting that particular pistol (or any with a red dot) in a match. I'm ok with being slow. At that point, it was barely broken in (probably not even 100 rounds), so I'm not even terribly worried about the malfunctions.

Unnecessary rant: What does really burn me up is my malfunctioning GoPro. Not only was I relying on that footage to share and, more importantly, examine the nature of the pistol malfunctions in super high resolution slow motion, but I also used it to "record" Katie's run. For some reason, those two videos do not exist. Those that were recorded are numbered and go from 65 to 68. These two videos would have been 66 and 67, but they just don't exist. I have a other complaints about that thing for another time...but I am seriously questioning whether it is even worth wasting my time with.
