Tonight we begin with the blatant theft of bursaries at the Nairobi county assembly. Imagine applying for bursary for your son or daughter and upon approval the cheque is diverted to a personal account of your local leader. Well, investigations by the director of criminal investigations and the EACC have unearthed a cartel among MCAs in Nairobi who have diverted bursaries to limited companies and their personal accounts. Some of the schools that were supposed to benefit from the bursary kitty wrote to the dci clarifying that they have never received any cheques or money. Stephen Letoo reports on this latest scandal at the city hall.
