Описание к видео The Ghost Town of Buckman Springs

We explore the ghost town of Buckman Springs, CA and the hidden grave of Amos Buckman. Buckman Springs is located on Historic Route 80 in eastern San Diego County. The town was founded by Amos Buckman, who was granted a 160 acre homestead at the location in 1881.

Buckman Springs, CA is most known for the Buckman Springs Lithia Water, which was sold from the 1880s until the 1940s. The water had a high iron content which tinted the bottles orange.

When Amos Buckman died in 1898 he was buried at Buckman Springs. When work was being done on Interstate 8 in the 1970s his grave was found and the interstate fencing was rerouted around his grave.
