When we think of IGS beat 'em ups, we often think of the classic Knights of Valour series; but there was another lesser known IGS title that seems to have slipped by the wayside, The Gladiator: Road of The Sword!

You can kind of think of this game as Knights of Valour on steroids! The Gladiator: Road of The Sword isn't your typical side-scrolling beat 'em up, but feels more like a cross between a fighting game and a side scrolling brawler with its use of long chain combos, mid-air fighting maneuvers, and IGS signature shadow attacks as seen in titles like Martial Masters.

It also doesn't appear this game eve saw the light of day in western markets, having been released only to Asian audiences. The game was better known as "Shien Jian" in China, and Gladiator: Road of The Sword in Japan.
