2023 Nio ES8 in-depth Walkaround

During Nio Day in December 2022, the second-generation (2023) Nio ES8 was revealed, built on the NT2.0 platform. This latest model showcases notable upgrades and advancements.

The second-generation ES8 is equipped with a front motor generating 180kW and a rear motor producing 300kW, resulting in a combined maximum power output of 480kW and an impressive torque of 850N·m. Acceleration from 0 to 100km/h can be achieved in just under 4.1 seconds. The vehicle offers three battery pack options, including the availability of a battery leasing program. The 75kWh battery delivers a CLTC range of 465km, the 100kWh battery provides a CLTC range of 605km, and the 150kWh battery offers an impressive CLTC range of 900km.

In terms of dimensions and weight, the Nio ES8 is classified as an SUV. It measures 5099mm in length, 1989mm in width, and 1750mm in height. With a wheelbase of 3070mm, the vehicle provides a spacious and comfortable interior. The weight of the ES8 is approximately 2600kg, and it offers a trunk/boot space of 552 liters. Notably, the ES8 does not have a trunk (front trunk). The maximum tow hitch load is 75kg, while the maximum trailer load when braked is 2000kg and 750kg when unbraked. The tire standard for the ES8 is 255/50 R20, and it can accommodate a maximum of six passengers.
