বিভূতিভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের ছোটগল্প অবলম্বনে স্বল্পদৈর্ঘ্য চলচ্চিত্র ‘আহ্বান’

Story: গ্রামের মুসলিম বিধবা জমির করাতির স্ত্রী গল্পের কথককে (হিন্দু ব্রাহ্মণ যুবক) খুব স্নেহ করে। মায়াবন্ধনের একপর্যায়ে সেই বৃদ্ধা ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করে তার মৃত্যুর পর কথক গোপাল তার কবরে মাটি দেবেন। এই গল্পে রয়েছে যে দীর্ঘদিন বিদেশে কাটিয়ে গোপাল যখন গ্রামে আসলেন সেদিনই বৃদ্ধার মৃত্যুর খবর পেলেন। কথক বুড়ির জন্য কাফনের কাপড় কিনে দিলেন এবং কবরে মাটিও দিলেন। এখানে বৃদ্ধা হয়ে ওঠে চিরন্তন মা। এর মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠা ঘটে অসাম্প্রদায়িকতার।
গল্পটিতে স্থান পেয়েছে দুটি ধর্মের মানুষের সম্প্রীতির চিত্র। গল্পটি একটি উদার মানবিক সম্পর্কের গল্প। স্নেহপ্রীতির বাঁধনে ভিন্নধর্মের মানুষের মধ্যেও যে নিবিড় মানবিক সম্পর্ক গড়ে উঠতে পারে তার দৃষ্টান্ত এ গল্প।
বিংশ শতাব্দীর ত্রিশের দশকে কলকাতা ও ঢাকাসহ বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে সাম্প্রদায়িক দাঙ্গার প্রেক্ষিতে বিভূতিভূষণ গল্পটি রচনা করেছিলেন।

(Synopsis : The Muslim widow of the village, Zamir Karati's wife is very fond of the narrator (Hindu Brahmin youth). At one stage of compassion, the old woman wishes that Gopal would buy her shroud after her death. After a long stay abroad, Gopal received the news of the old woman's death on the day he returned to the village. The narrator bought shrouds for the old woman and also gave soil to the grave. Here the old woman became the eternal mother. This led to the establishment of secularism. The story is the story of a generous human relationship. This story is an example of the close human relationship that can develop between people of different religions in the bond of affection.
Bibhutibhushan wrote the story in the wake of communal riots in various parts of the country, including Calcutta and Dhaka, in the 1930s.)

মায়ের ধর্ম অন্তরে ভাই করো হে লালন
আত্মা নাহি মানে কভু ধর্ম বিভাজন,
ঝগড়া নাহি করে কভু আল্লা ভগবান
হৃদয় দিয়া পরস্পরে করো আহ্বান ,
সবার মাঝে খুঁজে নে তোর আপন ঠিকানা-
ওগো মা, ওগো মা, তোমার নেই যে উপমা।
