After a few years of collaborated efforts of Meta, its partners and the whole community, React Native is finally ready for wide adoption of the New Architecture (and so should be the developers). In this talk, we will briefly remind the motivation, foundations (including Fabric, TurboModules/JSI, bridgeless mode) and concepts (i.e. view flattening or view recycling) behind the New Architecture as well as highlight the most notable improvements which lead to new opportunities both for app and library developers. Then, we will explore the current state of the ecosystem (mentioning already migrated libraries as well as the compatibility layer). Finally, based on real-world examples from production apps, we will discuss common pitfalls as well as share some tips on how to deal with the New Architecture so you can start using it in your apps today.
