Hi folks! Sometimes a song can go through many changes before the finished article is ready and released. So to give you a glimpse into our songwriting process, we’re going to upload our new music as soon as it comes! Completed tracks and songs in progress!

This is a new piece we’ve been working on for a little bit. We had the majority ready at the start of the year, but hadn’t had the chance to fit the final pieces together until now... Niki started off with a synth bass riff she sent to Will, who immediately came up with a ATDI inspired guitar riff. After observing a strange conversation whilst out walking, Mimi came up with the theme for the song and chorus. Mimi - “It came from observing how some people talk at each other and don’t stop to listen to the answer. Seeing people constantly talk, almost not ever stopping to take a breath. What they had to say was more important than actually having a conversation”. Taking inspiration from Mimi’s chorus lyrics, Niki tacked the verses...
Niki - “I wrote the verses about the interaction between people and how pointless a person feels when they can’t get their own opinion across and how a lot of adults never grow up so they are forever selfish!” And thus, “Burning Blue” was created... CASxx

We are Candy Apple Sun, a three piece rock band that’s crunchy on the outside - sunny on the inside! Comprising of three good friends originating from London, Suffolk and Manchester. With Mimi on vox/flute, Will on guitar/ vox and Niki on bass/keyboard and paintbrush! We have 3 different personalities and eclectic music tastes wrapped up in an explosive candy shell.
