Quick Look at Norco’s New Fluid VLT C3 Carbon EMTB

If you are looking for an ebike or EMTB you have a lot of options these days thankfully. This new Norco Fluid VLT Carbon is designed to be a lighter weight EMTB so that it feels more like a mountain bike and handles more like a mountain bike. The guts of the Norco Fluid VLT is the new Bosch Performance Line SX motor which is a pound or so lighter than their bigger motors. It has less torque (55nm) but because it is a lighter package it needs less power to move it around. It is paired with a 400wh battery that is integrated into the frame so not easily replaced. That was necessary to keep the bike light and strong. You can add a range extender if you have range anxiety or are planning an especially long ride.

The Fluid VLT tips our scale just under 45lb and the top of the line model is just under 40lbs. For most the C3 or C2 version (with SRAM’s transmission) will be more than enough to meet their needs unless you just want the best of the best.
