Welcome to the Initial Thoughts for the Haydenshapes new Midlength Glider which I have been surfing in the stock 6'10" X 20 5/8" X 2 11/16" - 42.22L

This has been a lot of fun to surf in conditions both big and small. Normally this is something I would grab for small waves in the 1-2ft range, but lately I have been keen to push it a little when it gets a little bigger!

This is the Initial Thoughts clip, so kind of like the pre-review, so please let us know any questions etc on the board, fins you'd like to see etc, and we can include it in the full review which will be out shortly!

The Mid Length Glider has been the latest addition to Craig Anderson’s quiver. Tuned to bring a balanced gliding feel to any conditions, it has refined neutral rails with a rolled entry flowing into a slight double vee out the tail. Addictive in nature, the speed and lines you can draw will keep you entertained in 1 to 6ft conditions.


Made in our Sydney factory in the Original PU construction. Original PU is the industry wide classic combination of plywood stringered, polyurethane core laminated with polyester resin.

The HS Plunder 7” fin is a unique and highly versatile 2+1 set specifically designed for use with the Haydenshapes Plunder model.
The Plunder can be ridden as a single fin using only the HS 7” center, giving you a flowing feel from rail to rail.
To create a little extra speed, a 2+1 setup can be arranged, giving the board a blend of performance thruster and traditional single fin feel. Depending on board size and surfer’s weight the 6” option might be a better fit.
