The famous Santa Claus needs urgent help from the adventurer and explorer named Rex. Help him find all the presents in this puzzle and platform-based physics game called Pixel Quest: The Lost Gifts. The objective here is the same with your other version. You just need to control the adventurer named Rex and reach the exit as safely as possible. The theme was just changed into a snowy and icy element but the obstacles are still the same. So be sure to avoid these obstacles or you might restart the level. Overview

Pixel Quest: Lost Gifts is a casual and fun platform adventure game where you get to control Rex the adventurer to retrieve the lost gifts for christmas. The story goes that Santa sought your help, he has lost a lot of toys and gifts for the children, it is now up to you to recover all those lost gifts and give them back to Santa. The game features a total of 64 challenging levels for you to complete, each one of them full of obstacles and traps like falling icicles, freezing water, gaps and even spikes, indeed it's going to be quite tough collecting those gifts, don't worry though as Rex has a lot of abilities that you can use in your quest to find the lost gifts, besides running and jumping across the levels, he can also double jump, jump and dash in mid air, and wall climb and wall slide. Aside from the gifts that you need to retrieve, there are also keys that you need to collect, these keys open doors, if you don't get them, you character will not be able to proceed further. There are also some gems scattered all throughout, and although they don't really affect the gameplay, they will give you a higher score at the end of the level, so come on and join this fun little quest to recover all the gifts, collect them all and make the children all over the world happy this christmas here in Pixel Quest: Lost Gifts.

Graphics and Sound

The graphics in the game is very simple just like the first one, it is still in pixel arts, and the only difference is the theme of the game. The character is still very small too but it still looked as cute as ever, there's not much detail when it comes to the character designs really but the character still managed to look cute. The environments are also nice, all the 64 levels you will be going through feature a variety of platform designs with an arctic theme. The colors look pretty, there are a lot of blue and white colors which is nice as it is quite soft to the eyes and nice to look at. The movements and animations are nice too, the character moves briskly across the levels and controls are very responsive while the animations on the other hand are very simple. The game's music is nice but rather repetitive while the sound effect is simple and not too varied. The special effects are basic, nothing much to say in this department really. Overall, it is simple but quite attractive as the designs are really cute and clean.

Gameplay

It is an adventure type platform based game, you'll be collecting items across the levels while dodging obstacles and traps at the same time. You'll need to use precision jumping to be able to survive the different obstacles and traps the game will throw at you, The game also features a countdown timer for you to consider, you need to finish the level and go to the exit before the timer runs out, otherwise, you'll lose the level and have to start all over again.

Pixel Quest: Lost Gifts features some simple graphics and cute designs, there are 64 challenging levels you need to survive, there are a number of items for you to collect and it has simple controls for you to use.

Conclusion

Great game overall, the levels are quite challenging and not really that easy to beat, good thing the levels are short, otherwise it could have been very hard to finish, check it out.
