Groom Reaches Bathinda Police Station in Wedding Dress | Complaint Filed Against Kejriwal & Bhagwant Mann | Viral Incident


A unique and satirical incident from Bathinda, Punjab is going viral on social media. Former councillor Vijay Kumar MC arrived at a police station dressed as a groom and filed a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

According to Vijay Kumar, before his marriage he had promised his future wife that she would receive ₹1000 every month under the Punjab government’s scheme for women, a promise that was made during the elections. He even filled out the form believing the scheme would start soon. Based on this, he told his future wife that she would receive ₹48,000 in total.

However, when Vijay Kumar reached with the wedding procession to marry her, the bride’s family allegedly refused the marriage, claiming that his promise had not been fulfilled.

Angered by the situation, Vijay Kumar wore his groom attire and went to Bathinda’s Canal Colony Police Station to lodge a complaint against Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann for allegedly making false promises.

Though the act was done in a satirical manner, the incident highlights the growing public questions about when the Punjab government’s promise of ₹1000 per month for women will be implemented. The unusual protest has now gone viral and sparked debate across social media.
