This online presentation focuses on the preventive service of intimate partner violence (IPV) screening. The presenter will provide scientific evidence to support the need for the service, specific tools and techniques to implement screenings, and behavioral counseling and/or effective referral processes for providers and others working in pre- and perinatal care settings. The presentation will also describe health care systems elements and protocols that support the provision of the preventive service as well as additional resources to help care providers and those that coordinate the systems they work in to function smoothly, efficiently, and effectively when providing services for IPV. CMEs, CEUs (RNs), M/CHES, CPH, NAADAC SUD, and General credits are offered.
