Braided PTFE Hose tested to destruction at 2000 FPS!!

For educational and entertainment purposes.
A smoothbore PTFE Hose with a standard wall thickness (not used for gas) tested to destruction in our high pressure testing bay. Hose is 1/4", rated to 241 bar / 3494.5 psi working pressure. The actual burst pressure was 810 bar / 11745 psi!

Hose Construction
Liner: Transparent, virgin PTFE
Reinforcement & Cover Single layer of AISI 304 stainless steel braid

This type of stainless steel braided PTFE hose is suitable for a diverse range of applications from foodstuffs and beverages, to chemicals, pharmaceuticals and more due to the high performance properties of PTFE.
