Visit my village is a series of villages in Uttarakhand. It's all about travel, Lifestyle and real issues that majorly villages are facing these days. Here you will enjoy the beauty of Uttarakhand in these series of videos.

#Balma ( बालमा ) - Heart of #Garhwal- Balma Village

Balma is situated in Tehri Garhwal. Its neighboring villages are Bhatkoti and Pangarhkhal. It is 12kms from New Tehri.

I made this video on the request of Kiran Negi of Balma Village who currently resides in New Zealand. The way to the village is amazing and the scenery is one of the epitomai of Garhwal beauty. It's scarcely populated and on average only 20-30 Families live there. A major reason is most of them have migrated to bigger cities and countries. There are many health issues that residents of Balma are facing due to lack of facilities. However, the older generation does not agree on leaving their village for better greens. They love their own soil and village and from the people of Balma, this is their only true home.

In this video, you will meet Aditya Negi, Adarsh Negi, Anandi Devi, Muni Devi, Mangla Devi, Rekha Negi, and Muni Devi.
In Balma, each and every person is so interesting.
When I arrived in the village there was an uncle who was very sad cause he said - "I lost my Grandson, I don't know where he is."
I said I will help you but don't worry, he is safe. We started finding him out, that lost child has an elder brother I went with him helping in find him as soon as possible. We finally find him inside the village he was within someone else's house. When we brought him back his grandpa was very happy. Her mother scolds him and gives him shake with nettle plant. It was a beautiful moment It reminds me of my childhood.
There was a meeting in the village about issues of villagers. I was invited to a meeting session to get some Idea about their problems.
It was beautiful when they sing lots of traditional and old songs for me. Watch the video
