Описание к видео Raspberry Pi GPIO pins

Here is a simple project utilizing the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins.

Originally what I did was take a CPU fan and wire a speaker to it - to generate a noise as the fan spins. This isn't really shown well in this, but what I did next was hook the cpu fan and an LED indicator to the pi's breadboard so it was controlled by code - I can turn it on/off or make it blink at different time values.

The multi-meter is an old analog meter that I found which was completely gutted inside, I just hooked up to the meter directly to show when current passes through the circuit.

I then added a potentiometer to increase.decrease the voltage manually, reducing/increasing the fan speed, and altering the signal produced by the speaker. It makes a series of alternating clicks when open fully - and winds down to a really high pitched tone when almost closed.

When the Python script is adjusted to sleep(0.5) it turns on and off every second - thus making it a simple clock. The terminal displays tick / tock as it operates. The sleep value can be adjusted to make it tick very fast, or very slow.

I had to write 2 other simple Python programs - one as a test - to just turn it all on, and the other to kill it....the Pi tends to leave GPIO pins on High / On after using - so a few lines of code can be run to disable the GPIO pin

Not anything spectacular I know - the inspiration was from a Raspberry Pi video using wiringPi to control floppy drives to play music through the GPIO pins by programming the stepper motor inside. It made me start messing around with different components.

I apologize for the lack of quality filming from my phone - and it is difficult to type commands one-handed while filming - I didn't really capture the whole thing very well.

If you want more info on the commands and Python codes used to control GPIO pins please let me know. I will send you my copies of everything
