Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 Removing Watts Linkage Removal and Bush Replacement How To

Описание к видео Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 Removing Watts Linkage Removal and Bush Replacement How To

The watts linkage is an important part of the rear suspension system on the Discovery 2, it aids in restricting movement sideways on the rear axle, worn bushes can also result in knocking noises etc.

Fortunately removing the linkage is fairly easy, with a centre bolt on the differential area then one on each arm to the chassis, we're replacing the rubber bushes in the stock arms arms and have bought a new unit for the middle part (was more cost effective), the bushes are worn and the rubber has holes etc so it's time to replace seeing as we have the springs/shocks off anyway access is better, you can also buy a new watts linkage that's better suited to off-roading and offers more articulation if there's a lift e.g. 2" etc but for us it's going to be new bushes and a clean up/paint.

I've detailed all the bolt/nut sizes and sockets etc you will need along with some tips and advice for removing the old bushes and also pressing in new ones, thanks for watching!
