THE 1952 SOUTHERN DYNAMOMETER TRIALS - With Bulleid's 1-Co-Co-1 Diesel Locomotive.

Описание к видео THE 1952 SOUTHERN DYNAMOMETER TRIALS - With Bulleid's 1-Co-Co-1 Diesel Locomotive.

After the successful tests between Ashford, Ramsgate and London with Bulleid's new Diesel locomotive 10201 in 1950, Dynamometer Car trials were scheduled by the British Railways Executive. These took place in 1952 using sister locomotive 10202 between Waterloo and Exeter. Further tests using Churchward's Great Western Dynamometer car took place in 1955 with the last of the Southern trio, 10203.

In this video I attempt to capture the essence of these tests using Kernow Model Rail Centers excellent sound -fitted model of the Bulleid Diesel, No 10201; coupled with Rapido's new model of the LNER Dynamometer Car in its later BR guise.
