In this video we will discuss about the role of Constituent Assembly of India in framing the constitution of India. The constituent Assembly was formed after election in 1946. It's first meeting took place in December of 1946. It took 2 years 11 months and 18 days to complete the constitution of India.

Several important incidents happened in this time period. India got independence on 15th august 1947. Pakistan was also formed as a separate nation and there was a split in Constitution Assembly. B.R Ambedkar became the Chairman of the drafting committee and it took 3 drafts to finally complete the constitution on 26th November 1949 and it finally came into force on 26th Jan 1950.
