So, if you’ve rolled out Office 365 already or had it switched on and given to you without any say, it’s not ideal but don’t worry it’s not too late. There are a few things you can do about it.
Three tops tips would be to take advantage of the fact that it’s already in the business and go out and find some excellent, or useful at least, use cases of where people have done it well, where people have set up a Team and used that Team well, or where people have set up a SharePoint site and are collaborating well or sharing information and a good idea. We can take what was a disadvantage and turn it to our advantage and use them as case studies to further the business.
Number two would be to try and find where the problems have been, where there’s been a crossover or a confusion with the tool and do something about it. That can be to put some governance into place or that can be to create some communication tools or some emailers, help letters, guides – things like that.
And number three would be to lean on the security tools in the security and compliance centre and empower people to play. It is an opportunity to play, to learn and to work together, so trust people and give them the ability to do so.

Our Sequel Presents seminars, have come a long way since we created the Association for Strategic Practitioners of Internal Communications (ASPIC) in 1997. After 20+ years of running breakfast seminars and introducing over 150 high-profile speakers to 1,000s of internal comms professionals, Sequel Presents will now focus even more on the employee experience issues that most concern the modern internal communicator, including content (employee comms), insight (measurement and employee engagement) and technology (channels, new tools and tech).
We'll run live polls using Sequel's Events App for Communicators for snapshot information and thoughts from fellow communicators and will host high-profile internal communication speakers, as well as share case studies, best practice and industry news to help keep you and your organisation's comms ahead of the curve.
