Stingley became the only player in the AFC to return an INT for a TD this week and just the third in the NFL this season to record a forced fumble and interception return for a TD in the same game. He also became the first player in franchise history to achieve this feat.
With four interceptions this season, Stingley is the only player in the NFL with at least four INTs in each of the last three seasons. On the year, he has 32 tackles, 13 passes defensed, four INTs, and one forced fumble.
Part of a Texans secondary that features four players with at least four interceptions, Stingley has started all 15 games for the league-leading defense in yards and points allowed.
This is his third AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor, all in December, and he has recorded seven interceptions in 12 career games in December, the most by any active player.
Joining Texans stars Danielle Hunter and C.J. Stroud, Stingley becomes the third to earn AFC Player of the Week this season.
