Описание к видео 4K video: MÁV 603 Rotary steam train snow plow, Haritage trains in Budapest railway museum

MÁV Snowplow No. 603
Henschel & Sohn, Kassel, 1929
To overcome high-altitude snow obstacles, Leslie-system steam-powered rotary-blade snowplows were developed in North America at the end of the last century. In Europe, the Görlitz Wagon Works was the first to produce snowplows of this type, and later the Henschel Locomotive Works in Kassel produced them in larger quantities. In 1942, MÁV acquired two such machines from the Henschel factory, which were put into service with the track numbers Snowplow 601-602. The MÁV six-axle snowplow No. 603 was manufactured in 1929 at the Henschel factory in Kassel for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) with the serial number 21647, track number Schneeschleuder 3, using the boiler of a scrapped Austrian steam locomotive. It came to Hungary after World War II, where the Snow Plow was given track number 603. Its last station was the MÁV Dombóvár Towing Headquarters in the late 1980s.
A Leslie-system, steam-powered rotary-blade snow blower, known at the time as a snow blower, which was developed in America to overcome high-altitude snow obstacles of up to 4 meters. The Görlitz Wagon Works were the first in Europe to produce snow-clearing machines of this system, and later the Henschel Locomotive Works in Kassel produced them in larger quantities. In 1942, MÁV acquired two such machines from the Henschel factory, which were put into service with the track numbers Snow Blower 601-602.

The MÁV six-axle snow blower number 603 was built in Kassel in 1929 for the Austrian Federal Railways (BBÖ), and only came to Hungary after World War II, alongside the two existing similar machines. At MÁV, the Snow Plow was assigned the track number 603, and its last station was at the MÁV Dombóvár Traction Department in the late 1980s. It was renovated by the MÁV Dombóvár Baross Gábor Mechanical Department Dunaújváros external service station.
