Had a couple of hours to burn during my lunch today and decided to try some live bait fishing in search for a Nickajack Giant. As you will see the trip was successful.

I literally just went to academy and got some gear for this trip. A small pack of Gami octopus 2/0 hooks, shad keeper, and some 8lb P-line co-polymer line was all I needed.

Rod: 7 ft med fast action (you need enough backbone to cast the big baits but you also want to ensure you are not overloading the light line)
