For expats who want to apply for a Thai driving license.

The required documents for obtaining a driving license in Thailand are:

1. Your passport contains a valid non-immigrant visa
2. A work permit or a proof of your residence
3. You must be at least 18 years old.
4. You must be physically and mentally fit to drive.
5. You must attend a driving school and pass the written and practical driving tests.
6. A health certificate dated within thirty days of the application from a licensed Thai physician e.g. a private clinic

Submit all the above signed documents to the nearest Department of Land Transport (DLT) Office to your location.
Once, your documents have been approved and stamped, you must attend a driving school proved by the Department of Land Transport (DLT). The driving school will provide you with the necessary training and instruction. The lists of all the tests that you must pass are:

1. Practical driving test
2. Theory test in English or in your own language
3. Color Blindness test
4. Reflex Test
5. Peripheral Test
6. Depth Perception Test
