Witness the 191-year-old Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple at Secunderabad gear up to welcome lakhs of devotees, on the occasion of Mahankali Bonalu 2019! Many VIPs attend and make their obeisance as well, year on year.
The annual festival of Bonalu is celebrated in the Telangana twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad with great pomp and fanfare, and it is performed in thanksgiving for to the Goddess for having fulfilled the wishes of devotees.
The temple has received special security, as it does every year, as 4 to 5 lakh devotees are expected to visit the sanctum this year. Around 2,000 police personnel have been stationed at the temple, along with 200 CCTV cameras and 25 SHE teams, who will be working around the clock to keep visitors, tourists and devotees safe.
