The GTR7 is more carefully constructed, utilizing metal materials similar to those found on an Intel NUC. The top mesh, which was a softer cloth on the earlier GTR6 design, is now rigid metal on all six sides. We notably enjoy the absence of any glossy plastic surfaces, which are prone to attracting scratches and fingerprints. The GTR7 has the same footprint as the GTR6, but with a thicker profile and higher weight, owing to altered internals and the addition of a vapor chamber cooler. It is now one of the biggest and heavier micro-PCs on the market, except for those with discrete GPUs. Connectivity-wise, The AC adapter port has been redesigned to be magnetic while two of the four HDMI ports have been dropped in favor of full-size DisplayPort. The two rear USB-C ports support USB4 and eGPUs according to the manufacturer similar to GTR6.
