Controlled Demolition, Inc. (CDI) of Phoenix, Maryland, USA (acting as Explosives Subcontractor to Main Demolition Contractor, The BG Group, LLC of Delray Beach, Florida) performs the preparation for and successful explosives felling of the 199’ reinforced concrete windscreen with four (4), full-height steel flues and the structural steel Boiler House located at the Wheelabrator Refuse Power Station in Pompano Beach, Florida on Friday, June 7, 2024. The Boiler was rolled and lowered to that elevation which matched the reach and capacity of BG Group’s fleet of excavators to best match access for secondary debris downsizing and salvage operations.
