Plot Summary :

The movie follows Emma, a deeply disturbed and psychopathic teenage girl who meticulously hides her violent tendencies behind a facade of innocence. The story begins with Emma killing a dog in the woods, immediately establishing her as dangerous. After the death of her father, Emma is adopted by her Aunt Angela, who lives with her husband, Robert, and their baby. Emma pretends to be a normal teenager, practicing her innocent behavior daily in front of a mirror, while secretly plotting harm.

At school, Emma struggles with jealousy and resentment toward her best friend, Stephanie, and a new girl, Kat. Emma’s dark tendencies escalate as she deliberately endangers Robert and manipulates situations at home, such as spiking soup with salt, attempting to cause accidents, and orchestrating life-threatening scenarios. She maintains her innocent facade, convincing her aunt and others of her good behavior.

Emma’s obsession with control intensifies when she targets Stephanie. She kills Stephanie’s dog to prevent her from attending a dance audition and later manipulates circumstances that lead to Stephanie’s death, all while keeping her true nature hidden from her peers.

Her aunt Angela begins to suspect Emma, noticing her dangerous behaviors and ultimately discovering that Emma has antisocial personality disorder. Despite these suspicions, Emma continues her manipulations, including poisoning a guest, setting fire to her aunt’s house, and orchestrating chaos that endangers Angela and Robert.

In the climax, Emma's calculated cruelty reaches its peak as she eliminates threats and appears to survive unscathed. The police fail to suspect her, and she maintains an innocent facade, even gaining sympathy for losing her “second family.” The movie ends on a suspenseful note, suggesting that Emma remains a calculating and lethal presence, leaving open the question of whether she will continue her violent actions in the future.
