We take a ride on 8x escalators at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. There are many escalators here of different brands although some were closed off and had been for a long time. Most escalators here are ThyssenKrupp or Schindler but there are 9x Kone escalators (these 8 and another 1 on one of the platforms but that was closed, along with a ThyssenKrupp on the opposite platform installed the year before)…

Built in Hattingen, Germany 🇩🇪 in 2003 these are the Eco3000 E3X type and are a nice spec with metal handrail inlet caps and orange lights. To find them, you needed to go to the back of the S bahn platforms. From the main station youd have to go down one of 2 sets of ThyssenKrupp escalators to reach the underpass they are in.

*This area was due to be redeveloped. There was a similarly laid out set (but from a year earlier and made by ThyssenKrupp) at the front of the platforms, but they were fully replaced by Schindlers in around 2021. I hope these don’t get the same treatment…
