Here we have the praised history work ‘The Spanish Civil War’ by British historian Hugh Thomas, first published in 1961 and first published by the Folio Society in 2014.

The two volumes come in a slip-case, and they are bound in buckram in a Smyth-sewn binding with red and yellow head and tail bands. The paper is standard Abbey Wove paper, medium thickness and cream coloured. The text size is medium and the book opens up well.

There are 64 plates of illustrations printed on glossy photographic paper, and there’s also 35 maps integrated in the text.
