My buddy Russ and I hit the Tennessee River in search of big blue catfish, and this trip had it all — heartbreak, redemption, and non-stop action!

We kicked off the evening bumping for catfish, landing one nice blue and losing another that broke us off. Devastated but determined, we packed up and moved downstream to try some suspend drifting, and that’s when things turned around.

The bite lit up fast, with big takedowns, a double-up, and angry blue catfish that put up incredible fights. It turned into one of those unforgettable evenings on the river — great fishing, great company, and plenty of excitement from start to finish.
