Join us for this extended converation with COL Brad Morgan of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He is charged with overseeing the debris removal from Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Bat Cave after Helene.

COL Morgan took the time to talk with the Carolina Weather Group's James Brierton at Rumbling Bald, where the US Army Corps has setup their debris removal operation.

Chimney Rock was badly damaged when Helene caused devastating flooding along the Broad River.

COL Morgan says it will take months to cleanup and repair the impacted communities within western North Carolina.
