Hello and welcome to The Gold Coast Art School channel!

Last week, we walked through how to tape a fresh new canvas to stop paint bleeding. It's such a simple, easy trick but can make such a huge difference. This week, it's a similar concept... but with an already-painted canvas. There are also a few tricky things you can do, like making shapes with the tape and adding varnish to the paint to thin it out for different effects. This is especially useful for acrylic paints!

BUT... it can all end up in disaster if you don't let it dry (or as dad says, "cure"). So you can also use this tutorial as a bit of a "here's what NOT to do when masking your artwork"!
