This video chronicles my crazy journey from Udupi, India to Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital (often called Tana for short). Buckle up for a wild ride!

The trip starts on a train from Udupi, chugging towards Thane, Maharashtra. From there, I soar to the skies with Ethiopian Airlines, landing in their stunning capital, Addis Ababa.

Here's where things get interesting. My 18-hour layover takes a luxurious turn with a stay at the Skylight Hotel, complete with top-notch service and all meals included. Talk about a relaxing transit!

But the real adventure begins in Tana. I score a visa on arrival for a cool 35 USD, but immigration throws a curveball - a not-so-subtle request for a 10-dollar "expediter." After downing some precautionary cholera tablets, I navigate the world of Malagasy mobile carriers. Orange and Airtel are the big players, and I snag a hefty 65GB Airtel plan for 200,000 Ariary (roughly 3500 INR) - who knew internet could be so expensive?!

Freshly connected, I attempt to withdraw some cash (100 USD) and then... the struggle for public transport kicks in. Being a complete stranger in Madagascar makes navigating a bit tricky, but with some friendly local help, I finally reach my destination - my host's home!
