There are many ways of tying a Turks Head Knot. In this video, I will show how to tie a Turk's Head Knot using your fingers as a guide. I am not saying that this is the only way of tying a Turk's Head, just that this particular way may just suit you. This particular Turks Head is a five bight by four leads (5 x 4).

The Turks head knot is not only a decorative knot, but it can also be used to, for example, strengthen a split or crack in a hiking stick.
