Welcome to the world of Biofluorescence! Join us for a journey to see nature in a whole new light. Welcome to a world of undiscovered mysteries and vibrant colours.

Biofluorescence is the absorption of light at one wavelength followed by its reemission at a lower energy and longer wavelength by a living organism. It is usually a response to Ultraviolet (UV) or blue light and comes in an assortment of bright and wonderful colours.

It is incredibly widespread and can be found in fungi, lichen, plants, birds, mammals, fish, coral, amphibians, reptiles and insects.

Biofluorescent Malaysia was shot at more than 20 different locations around the country, exploring a wide range of different habitats for their hidden fluorescence.
