Random Josie backsway discord tech I found for beating high Rage Arts. Kinda useful, but its still useful.

You could also hopkick, but if you want to stylon, you know what to do.



I should mention that this tech is especially good against Alisa's RA.

While the ws+2,1 and hopkick is technically not hard to hit, the problem is that you have to time the moves until Alisa's RA is over. Her recovery of the RA is fast, and the active frames are long, there is a possibility that:

A. She blocks the hopkick ws+2,1.

B. You try to retaliate too early, and you get hit by the active frames of the RA.

C. Floats her if you hopkick straight up instead of diagonally.

Combine it with tournament nerves and its possible to drop these punishes, even top level Josies miss the ws+2,1 combo, or combos like CH ff+4 combos once in a while.

The best thing about this tech is that you can buffer the backsway (and the crouch dash after) during their rage art animation, meaning you do not have to TIME anything against Alisa's RA. Think of it as a set up almost. It is an easier alternative to punish Alisa's RA because there is nothing to time (compared to hopkick or ws+2,1): hold b+3+4 in the RA animation, then hold forward+2, easy as that.
