Williamsport Cable Background Music 1975

Описание к видео Williamsport Cable Background Music 1975

When I was working in Williamsport, PA for a few months in 1975, the cable company had background music on an FM frequency. There was no need for a special SCA receiver. Not the same as but similar to Muzak. Received with a Magnavox receiver.

It is now obvious that the music came from a 3M Cantata 700 player from a Contempo 300 series tape cartridge which holds 24 hours of music. I would guess Williamsport Cable had one of these machines.

Their video shows gaps, missing songs that are on my cassette.

I recorded 2 hours of it on a BASF C120 cassette, using my Norelco 150 mono cassette recorder pictured in this video.

The Soundhound app only gave me 2 of the song titles ( 4% ).
I welcome song titles to fill-in and the name of the background service.
The orchestra or band playing was probably custom commissioned.

The clicks at the beginning were the Stereo/Mono switch on the Magnavox receiver.
