Content Creator Harrison M. takes us mudlarking on London's River Thames as part of a class field trip!

Harrison shares: "As a part of a class field trip, I explore the River Thames and go on a mudlarking journey. Mudlarking is the process of scavenging a river for any potential findings that could be sold for money. In the past, people used to mudlark as a way of making a living.

As part of an interactive learning experience, Professor Bartek Dziadosz takes his students to the River Thames. He sends us out with cameras, bags, and gloves to collect and examine items from the river.

In the video, Bartek explains why he takes his students to the river and the cultural importance of mudlarking in London. During this field trip, we see students scavenging for items in the river. I examine their findings, and see a variety of interesting shells, rocks, and other unique scraps. Lastly, the trip concludes with the class heading back to a local cafe, where Bartek explains to us the significance of rivers in London."
