Описание к видео 1997 - 2002 OBS GM Truck Van 6.5L Diesel Water Pump Replacement (Chevy GMC Hummer)

FULL by the book tear down and diagnosis on water / coolant pump replacement for the GM 6.5L diesel for model year 1997 and up thru 2002 trucks and vans. This EPIC length video contains many sub procedures for everyone including:

- Removal and reinstall of upper and lower fan shrouds
- Removal and reinstall of fan clutch assembly
- Removal and reinstall of serpentine belt
- Removal and reinstall of vacuum pump and pulley
- Removal and reinstall of the AC compressor
- Removal and reinstall of passenger side alternator
- Removal and reinstall of RH side engine accessory bracket
- Removal and reinstall of the engine oil filler tube
- Removal, reconditioning, and reinstall of water pump and backing plate
- Removal and replacement of lower radiator and crossover hoses & clamps

Illustrated on a 1999 Chevy Suburban K1500. While this video is specific to 1997 1996 and up with the high output (HO) cooling redesign (dual thermostats), many of the steps and procedures will apply to earlier 6.5L turbo charged diesels with the older single design including the 1996, 1995, and 1994. Differences on these older years can include having to also remove the drivers side (LH) engine accessory bracket, for example.

This cooling setup was found on many old body style (OBS) Chevrolet, GMC, Holden, and Hummer models including Suburban, H1, Silverado, Blazer, Cheyenne, Sierra, P32, P42, G20, G30, W/T, Yukon, and Tahoe.

The fastener torque values are given where applicable, as well as any special adhesives and sealants. While this is a LONG video, it covers ALOT and definitely fixed my coolant leak. My only regret was not having flexible hose clamp pliers (which I bought after making this video for next time) as the factory spring clamps are a PITA with regular pliers. I hope taking the time to record it helps you out as well.
