RVP Live Feed Fridays - Episode 3: Forgone (Imonolith) @ Armoury Studios 2019

For RVP LFF Episode 3, I chose the song 'Forgone' from my brand new band, Imonolith. I decided to go with a Studio Drum Cam versus a Live Drum Cam this time. This Drum Cam take is slightly different from the final album drum version. I wanted to show alternate fills and accents that I used in the studio compared to the final version. I mixed the actual album version music (lower volume) underneath the drum cam footage (Zoom Q8 video and audio) so you can listen along with the song.

Some of the reasons I chose this song:

- It's from my brand new band, Imonolith.
- 'Forgone' seems to be one of the early 'fan favourite' songs off of our new 2020 album - 'State of Being'.
- I really dig the drum beats and tom work I used in this song. There's a couple beats where I incorporate some fun cymbal work too!
- I thought it would be interesting to show studio footage along with all the microphones and how things were set up to record our debut album.
- This was the first footage recorded with my brand new, custom Sonor SQ2 series drum kit. I'm sooooo stoked on this kit. My actual DREAM drum set!
