Upper TCV school Summer camp mock losar.

The Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) school in India recently hosted a unique "Mock Losar" celebration as part of its summer camp program. This special event brought together Tibetan children from various parts of the world, offering them a chance to connect with their cultural heritage in a fun and educational setting.

The mock Losar, or བཅོས་མའི་ལོ་གསར་ (chö me lo sar) in Tibetan, recreated the atmosphere and traditions of the actual Tibetan New Year festival. Participants engaged in traditional activities such as preparing special foods, creating colorful decorations, and performing cultural dances and songs.
The mock Losar at TCV demonstrated how cultural events can be adapted to serve as powerful educational tools, helping to preserve Tibetan heritage among younger generations living in the west.
