May 12, 1992 - Jeff Malone was no slouch. A two-time all-star, Malone was often overshadowed by a teammate (Karl) who shared the same surname (no relation). In Game 4 of his team's second round series against the Seattle SuperSonics, it was Jeff's hot-shooting third quarter that helped square away an 89-83 Jazz victory, placing on the doorstep of making the franchise's first ever conference finals appearance. Jeff's 24 points led all scorers and all told, he was Utah's second leading scorer that postseason, averaging 20.7 points for a team that'd ultimately fall in six games to the Portland Trail Blazers.
